MaxPro Red Machine: Week 4
This is a week-long, full-day summer training program.
Each week of Red Machine offers 15 hours of on-ice training, 15 hours of off-ice training, and 5 hours of Chalk Talk with our professional coaches.
The on-ice training curriculum will entail the fundamentals of skating, stickhandling, checking (dependent on situation with COVID-19), and game play. The basis of the teaching strategy for MaxPro Elite Hockey Skills is to combine the strongest Russian and North American hockey training techniques. Russia has been a dominant force in international hockey for the past several decades. This is due to the rigorous methods used in training and educating hockey players, with a focus on techniques. The emphasis of the MaxPro Elite Hockey Skills program is on the development of skating techniques and game strategies. Skillful skating techniques are an important part of becoming an accomplished hockey player. The MaxPro Elite Hockey Skills program incorporates the traditional, powerful, straight-ahead approach of North American skating, with the high-speed, fluid maneuverability of the Russians. The program also combines the team tactics of Russian tradition, with the more assertive North American style.
The off-ice training will entail running, plyometrics, body weight training, agility, stretching, and off-ice shooting.
Chalk Talk is instrumental for player progression and encompasses video analysis, hockey IQ development, self-evaluation exercises, and open-dialogue discussions.
We are currently accepting only 25 players per week of Red Machine. This program is not suitable for goaltenders.
MaxPro Hockey Club Owner and former professional player Max Gratchev will conduct all training. Our highly qualified assistant coaches will assist or substitute as needed.

This program is suitable for players aged mite through high school.
All players must have completed Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs before participating.
$750 per player, before the standard Sports Engine processing fee.
On-ice training attire: multiple changes of on-ice attire since more than one on-ice training segment will be conducted each day, all personal protective equipment, practice jersey, socks, skates, etc.
Off-ice training attire: multiple changes of off-ice attire since more than one off-ice training segment will be conducted each day, T-shirt, shorts, tennis shoes, appropriate socks, hat, etc.
Personal water bottle: either refillable or multiple non-refillable, MaxPro Hockey Club will not be providing water bottles, water refill stations will be available, water bottles should be marked with player name
Lunch: participants must provide their own lunch daily
Snacks/drinks: something quick to have during the transitions between training segments, if needed
Off-ice training will be conducted outside. Players should prepare accordingly if they suffer from seasonal allergies.
Please pre-apply sunscreen. We will have sunscreen available for reapplication.
No unnecessary electronics. All electronics, including cell phones, must remain inside the player's bag for the duration of the day.
Registrations and payments for all MaxPro Hockey Club programs must be completed online via Sports Engine. No physical registrations or physical forms of payment are accepted. We do not maintain waitlists for any MaxPro Hockey Club programs. Program spots will be filled in the order they are registered for.
Due to currently mandated capacity restrictions on ice surfaces, players are not permitted to drop-in for sessions, nor are players permitted to make-up missed training sessions.
